Air Conditioning Deflectors
Air conditioning deflectors are accessories designed in partnership with a major air conditioning unit Manufacturer and tested in their airflow chambers to enhance the performance and comfort of ceiling-mounted air conditioning units. By redirecting airflow, these deflectors help eliminate hot or cold draughts whilst creating an even distribution of air, making indoor environments more comfortable and energy efficient.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are air conditioning deflectors?
Air conditioning deflectors are additional attachments designed for ceiling-mounted air conditioning units. Their main purpose is to redirect airflow, helping to eliminate uncomfortable draughts and improve the distribution of conditioned air throughout the room.
How do air conditioning deflectors work?
Air conditioning deflectors modify the direction of the airflow coming from the air conditioning unit. Instead of allowing the air to flow directly downward, they guide the air across the ceiling. This method ensures the warm or cool air spreads evenly throughout the space, enhancing overall comfort.
Do air conditioning deflectors help with cold draughts?
Yes, air conditioning deflectors are highly effective in reducing cold draughts. By dispersing the air more broadly and evenly, they prevent the uncomfortable sensation of cold air blowing directly onto individuals, thus creating a more pleasant indoor environment.
Can air conditioning deflectors be customised?
Our air conditioning deflectors come in 2 sizes so that they can be fitted to either a compact Cassette facia – DF1 or a Standard Cassette Facia DF2 , with the appropriate amount of lead time we can customise the RAL colour so that they can blend into a particular colour scheme and hide the traditional white facia panel. They can be colour-matched to any RAL code.
What materials are used in making the deflectors?
Our deflectors are constructed from durable materials Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and polycarbonate. These materials are selected for their strength, durability, light weight and suitability for use in air-conditioned environments.
How easy is it to install an air conditioning deflector?
Our air conditioning deflectors are designed for user-friendly installation. They attach to the cassette’s facia grille using an ‘H’ frame nylon studs and bolts, making the process simple and efficient, without the need for specialised tools they also allow easy access to the unit for service and maintenance.
